Under the baby’s cradle here
There’s an all white goat, dear.
Nanny’s come to bring the baby
Almond nuts and raison candy.
Raisons and nuts are a special treat.
Baby will grow up healthy and sweet.

Healthy’s better far than wealthy.
Baby will grow up a scholar.
A scholar of the Torah will he be.
A writer too, of holy writs.
A good man and pious,
God willing, that’s what he will be.
